You can't beet these Valentine Treats

You can't beat these no fuss Valentine's Beet Treats. Everything goes in the food processor and round and round she goes. The beet powder is good for your loved one's heart as it improves blood flow. Serve it up in a heart shape or roll it in cocoa nibs, coconut or powdered sugar for a healthy energy ball, no matter what form the yum goes on for days.

1 1/2 cup walnuts

1 1/2 cup pecans

1 cup dates

1 1/2 cup plums

2 Tbsp honey

3 Tbsp maple syrup

3 heaping Tbsps cocoa

3/4 cup cocoa nibs

2 1/2 cup sweet cherries

1/3 cup chia

1 Tbsp beet powder

I have made this dessert without the cherries and beet powder for a pure chocolate sweet treat.

If you like a little crust with your dessert, try this crust and add the above ingredients on top. In addition to the plums in the topping the fiber kicked up in the bran is a big bonus to your gut health.

1 cup bran cereal

2 tsp cinnamon

1 cup almonds

6 dates

1/4 cup coconut butter
