How can we even be friends? We fought and argued and fussed for 21 years. You see sharing a womb was just the first in a long line of sharing. Sharing clothes, toys, books, friends, and with a family of ten, resources were already slim. We were treated as if we were one unit... the Twinnies, not even individuals. I wish I knew when I was young that none of that would matter... that she would become my best bestie.
Indulge me while I rave for it’s our birthday and I wanted to bless Caroline with a rock star salute. I wonder if you know anyone who is awesome like my sister? She always finds the time to hear my news whether she had a bad night from dealing with sugar issues or teen drama. Caroline’s big heart shows up with her wise counseling and her sensitivity. Her gift of listening is so amazing especially as she works six days a week between school and church duties. Don’t even get me started on what a great mother she is and how she empowers her children. If I did we would be here all day.
What is the most important facet of this special woman? Caroline is yielded fo God in such a cool way. She often tells me that she has to pray about that issue rather than rushing in. Caroline soaks an issue in prayer and is diligent in striving to find what God wants. And she can be found at the cross in her church praying for and with others most every Sunday. She has grown in her church ministry to become a power filled Jesus follower equipped in leading women and children.
In the past I wished that I was not lumped into the Twinnies unit, now I am glad. I pray that my closeness with this incredible woman will help me to be more like her.. gifted, giving and grace filled.
